Funding Applications have now closed.
The Whitehorse Outdoor Trading Equipment Fund Program had up to $10,000 for eligible businesses to purchase outdoor equipment which includes tables, chairs, umbrellas, pot plants and personalised business barriers.
Applicants were required to meet the criteria as stated in the guidelines and demonstrate in their application how the funding will benefit the business, other local businesses and their precinct.
Businesses had to be located within the City of Whitehorse and had been trading in the City of Whitehorse for 6 months or more as at 1 January 2022.
Applications were through the SmartyGrants platform with application submissions closing on 3 June 2022. Not all applications will necessarily be funded. In some cases, applicants may also be offered partial funding.
Three businesses were successful in receiving an Outdoor Trading Equipment Fund:
- PJs Mexican Kitchen, Mitcham
- Chit Chat Café, Box Hill
- TABLA, Nunawading

Applications will be assessed and scored against a matrix that will determine successful applicants and the funding amount allocated. It is anticipated that applicants will be advised of the outcome within 3 weeks of submitting a complete application.
